Magnus Nordstrom is passionate about developing cutting edge, innovative designs using concrete and wood. Native of Sweden, Magnus learned his craft when he lived on the Greek Islands, restoring old stone homes. After moving to Canada in 2002, he trained with The Concrete Countertop Institute and founded Mag’s Concrete Works.
In addition to creating beautiful counters, sinks, bathtubs and fireplace surrounds, Mag also designs and builds furniture, planters, wall coverings, bathroom cabinets, custom shelving units and other small scale millwork.
His work is featured in many restaurants, such as Oliver & Bonacini, Luma Lightbox, 1800 Degrees, Bannock, Jam and hotels, including the Westin Harbour Castle. He has also designed unique pieces for Cambria Studio, Appleby College, Sheridan College, University of Toronto and McMaster University. My Parents House, Breakfast Television, and House & Home Magazine have also showcased his designs.

“My goal is to create something truly unique and beautiful each time I work on a project. Concrete can take any shape and form, fit any interior – its only limitation is the imagination.”
